Enjoy a guided tour this morning. You’ll visit a historic Army fort, Fort Casey, Wa. Your docent brings the guns of the Triangle of Fire, back to life. You’ll also visit the local lighthouse with time for some shopping. It’s back to the boat for lunch then a visit to the local museum, with some free time to shop. Day 3: Brunch and Kayaking
Enjoy a leisurely morning with Brunch and kayaking in a quiet bay. Paddle among sea birds and marine life. Afterwards we cruise among the islands in search for wildlife and wonderful island scenery. Tonight we will port at a historic site in the San Juan Islands-Roche Harbor. We have time to stroll among the gardens after dinner. It’s been a great day! Brunch, Cocktails, Dinner
This morning enjoy some leisure time at this old Limestone quarry. Shop and stroll among the marina. We will take a walk to the old mausoleum and sculpture gardens. Bring your camera, there are works of art and works of nature to enjoy. This afternoon we cruise in search of some local favorites. Orca Whales call these islands home for the summer. Normally in the islands until fall, we hope to visit them and see them in the wild. Port tonight at Friday Harbor, WA.
This morning we enjoy a tour of the interior on San Juan Island. We hope to visit the local Alpaca Ranch, American Camp and English Camp (both are National Parks). Learn how the locals live and enjoy this wonderful is-land, far off the hustle and bustle of mainland America. After lunch, your Captain picks the itinerary. We might kayak? We might visit a quiet island? Just enjoy. Anchor tonight in a quiet bay.
Today we visit Port Townsend, WA. History surrounds you with Victorian architecture and signs of a simpler life. People here move at their own pace. You’ll enjoy a walking tour of town to learn about the rich maritime history of this early Puget Sound seaport. Enjoy the exploits of our guide – Joyce Cox. She really knows how to bring the history to life. You’re on your own for lunch today…You Might enjoy Nifty Fifties for Ice Cream or burgers in an old fashioned ice cream parlor, or fresh seafood in one of the many eateries? This morning we cruise to Everett, WA. Meet our guide for a great local tour. We are going to visit the Boeing airplane company local plant, one of the largest buildings in the world. You will enjoy a guided tour of this facility. Afterwards, we are bound for Seattle and Lake Washington. We transit the Hiram Chittendam locks, first opened in 1917 and still in operation today. We continue to sightsee in Lake Union and Lake Washington; among the sights, the Sleepless in Seattle floating homes, the home of Bill Gates and more. Tonight we anchor out and enjoy Captain’s Dinner.
